Kayaking & Stand-Up Paddleboarding
Wildlife Prairie Park allows kayaking on any of our 7 fishing lakes (see map below).
Bring your own kayak or rent one of ours!
At the Park, we offer hourly kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals, Kayaking Parties, 1/2 Off Kayaking Special Days, and Kayaking Guided Adventures.
We recommend launching on Deep Lake, Beaver Lake, East Horseshoe Lake, North Lake or Taylor Lake (on the west side of the park). Caboose Lake is possible, but not very big due to some of it being fenced off for bison and elk. Access to some of our lakes may be more difficult than others.

Kayak and SUP Hourly Rentals
Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) on Deep Lake or North Lake for an hour or more!
Hourly Rate: $20
Park Admission still required for nonmembers.
Rental Hours: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Rental Information
Each Lake has 4 tandem kayaks and 2 SUPs available to rent.
All rentals include paddles and life jackets.
All rentals are first come, first serve.
Rental inquires, check-in, and check-out is at the Ticket Gate.
Photo ID is required and will be held until check-out.
Payment for kayak and SUP hourly rentals is required upon check-out.
Some rentals may be limited on special kayaking event days.
Kayaking Party
Members: $180
Non-Members: $230

Kayaking Parties are available on Taylor Lake or Deep Lake and Beaver Lake. Your 1.5 hour rental includes admission to the Park! Please submit an inquiry form or email recreation@wildlifeprairie.org with questions. Once party is booked, the waiver and other documents will be emailed to the party organizer.
Kayaking Guided Adventures
Join us for a Kayak Adventure of one of the Wildlife Prairie Park Lakes! Explore a lake for 1 hour with other paddle sport enthusiasts, led by our recreation staff and volunteers. Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) for the adventure or bring your own. Kayaks available for rent include single, youth, and tandem.

Try out kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) for half the price! Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard for 1 hour for only $10.
Perfect for beginners or those who want to see what paddle sport for them.

Sunset Soundbath on the Water
Be guided through a deeply grounding, reflective small flow and soundbath experience with crystal bowls, chimes, and guided meditation and movement as the sun sets and the moon rises. Bring your own floatation device - kayak, SUP, inflatable - or rent one of ours by emailing recreation@wildlifeprairie.org. Floatation device and ticket to event is required.

Fishing Kayak Rentals
We have 2 fishing kayaks exclusively available to VIA Members for FREE every day on Beaver Lake during Park Hours. To reserve the kayaks email recreation@wildlifeprairie.org.
Reservations must be made by 5 p.m. the day prior for 9 a.m. session. Seats can be picked up and returned at the Ticket Gate.
