Animal Trails

180 Animals & 60 Species

Wildlife Prairie Park is home to only animals who are native to the Midwest region. But that still means over 60 different species and over 180 animals make their home here at the Park. Many of our animals were rescued and could not be released back into the wild. We have a 1.5 mile walking trail that will take you all through the woods to see the wildlife in their natural environments. The enclosures at Wildlife Prairie Park are made to be as close to native habitats as possible. Take a walk-through Merrill Woods today to discover native animals that live or used to live in the Midwest. Who knows, you just might spot one in your own backyard!
