Wildlife Prairie Park is 1,800-acres of fun and recreational opportunities. Within the Park you can: walk the animals trails and see over 150 animals of 60 different species that are native to Illinois; learn about and see wolves, bison, waterfowl, black bears, elk, otters and the many other species we have. You can hike on 25 miles of groomed hiking trails or bike on 24 miles of maintained biking trails. You can fish in one of our four fishing lakes and you can camp. You can play disc golf, stay in one of our cabins and you can just enjoy nature and the great outdoors. 2023 West Side & Taylor Lake Closings

May 30 – Taylor Lake is closed from 4:30 pm- 7 pm.

June 3 – West Side is closed for the Illinois Wilds Triathlon until 12 pm.

June 27 & 28 – West Side mountain biking trails, hiking trails, and disc golf course closed for the World’s Disc Golf Tournament.

August 3- 6 – West Side mountain biking trails, hiking trails, and disc golf course closed for the Ledgestone Open Disc Golf Tournament.
