Explore how to translate color, light, and movement into compelling images — from blooming wildflowers to birds in motion. You’ll gain greater control of your DSLR or smartphone camera, moving beyond automatic settings to make intentional choices in exposure, focus, and composition.
Through guided instruction and live demonstrations, instructor Dave Hupke will teach you creative and technical techniques before you head into the Park to capture spring subjects on your own. The group will then reconvene to review and edit images, learning simple, effective ways to enhance your photos.
No experience is necessary — this class welcomes all skill levels, whether you use a professional camera, digital camera, or smartphone. Participants are encouraged to bring any equipment they’d like to use.
Instructor: Dave Hupke, a professional photographer with 40 years of experience, a graduate of the Colorado Institute of Art, and an artist whose work has been featured in galleries nationwide.
Meeting Location: Visitor Center Log Room
