Fall Bioblitz

Help us record the plants, animals, and fungi species on 1800 acres of Wildlife Prairie Park! Let’s celebrate the arrival of fall and make as many observations as we can in one day to catalog the biodiversity of WPP.

Starting at 10 a.m., come learn about iNaturalist! Can't make the 10 a.m. program? Stop by Forest Hall Education Center to meet with a WPP Naturalist to learn about iNaturalist, the Bioblitz, our ongoing Biodiversity Project, and how you can volunteer to join. 

Activity: 10 a.m. iNaturalist presentation (20 minutes) and put it into action on a short hike (20-30 minutes) with knowledgable WPP Naturalists.

  • FREE for Members; $5 plus admission for Non-Members

iNaturalist

  • Anyone can be a naturalist with iNaturalist. Just download the app and upload a picture of the wildlife you observe at the Park. The app will even help you identify what you see!
  • Stay tuned for the Fall Bioblitz Project Page that will post real time updates during the Bioblitz. 
  • Become a member of the WPP Biodiversity Project Page that will show wildlife observations at the Park over the past few years.
