SUMMARY:Wildfire Concerts at Wild Nights
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Porter Electric Solar DivisionGrab your friends an
d bring your lawn chairs to experience a live concert in the great outdoor
s! There will be a special Keeper Chat with a Wildlife Prairie Park Animal
Ambassador during intermission and the animal trails and Prairie Zephyr T
rain will be open until 8 p.m. Enjoy a night in the wild at Wildlife Prair
ie Park.\nFebruary SkyFebruary Sky is traditional singer and Celtic guitar
ist Phil Cooper with songwriter and singer Susan Urban. Phil sings and pl
ays his own arrangements of traditional songs and tunes on six string guit
ar and cittern\, and he also interprets a number of carefully chosen songs
from the best of modern Folk song writers\, as well as backing Susan up o
n her songs. Susan Urban is a writer of story songs and humorous \"slice
of life\" songs. She accompanies her songs\, plus Phil’s songs and tune
 s\, on six and 12-string guitar\, six string banjo\, mountain dulcimer\, a
nd hand percussion instruments. After playing in other bands for decades\
, in 2007 Phil and Susan formed the duo “February Sky.” Their perform
ing experience as a duo has convinced them that a combination of old and n
ew songs addressing the widest possible range of human experience\, comple
te with vocal harmony\, intricate instrumentation and thoughtful stagecraf
t\, is very appealing to Folk audiences. The debut of their first full-le
ngth album\, self-titled “February Sky\,” brings home the idea that Fo
lk Music is a continuum - whether the songs are self-penned or have a hist
ory thousands of years old\, as long as they speak to the human condition
and the human heart\, they carry on the Folk Music tradition.\nAugust 15th
