Since our founding in 1977, the mission of Wildlife Prairie Park has never wavered. We strive to offer interactive, nature-oriented educational and recreational activities that provide transformational experiences inspiring conservation of the great outdoors. Our founder Bill Rutherford once said “It is a privilege to preserve wilderness areas for the children of distant generations.”
Today, Wildlife Prairie Park is proud to continue its mission of conservation, education, and recreation to its nearly 140,000 annual visitors. As one of the Midwest’s leading destinations, visitors from across the globe have enjoyed the beauty and wonder of Wildlife Prairie Park.
Our current campaign, You Love Our Park, is focused on updating and maintaining the park so that current and future generations can enjoy all the magnificent things that park has to offer.
Our Capital Campaign
The funds raised through this capital campaign will enable us to bring more animals to the park, improve animal health, safety, and their enclosures, remodel event and meeting spaces, expand educational opportunities for students, repair infrastructure, and bring more fun to the park through kayaking, yoga and laser tag. With your support, we will continue to be an outstanding outdoors destination in the state.
