On the evening of March 18th, a female otter pup was born at Wildlife Prairie Park. The pup was given the name Winchester, as an ode to her parents, Annie and Oakley; she is called Winnie for short. The new otter pup has been under the private care of Park Animal Keepers for several months. She is eating solid foods, learning to swim and growing stronger every day. Park animal keepers have been giving Pupdates via their Facebook page, Wildlife Prairie Park, and allowing fans to get a glimpse into her life. After a long awaited 4 months, Winnie is now on public display! She is located in the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center which is located on the back side of the Park’s Visitor Center. Also located in the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is male mink, Chester and female opossums, Agnes and Mavis. Access to this area is included in general admission which is $9 for adults and $6 for children ages 3-12, children ages 2 and under can enter the Park for free. Winnie will remain on display here until she is large enough to explore the otter yard on her own
