History

Those who appreciate history will enjoy working at the Log Cabin and the Graham Chapel Schoolhouse.  Both of these buildings are over a century old were originally located in the nearby Peoria area.  Shortly after the Park opened these structures were moved here for enjoyment and education of Park guests.  Both of these buildings cannot be open to guests unless there is a volunteer present, so it is important to have volunteers staff these areas.  The furniture and accessories in each building are original to the structure or are antiques from the same time period.  There is rich history behind each building that volunteers can help share with guests.
